In a performance review from U.S. News, editors gave the 2018 Kia Stinger a nine out of 10 score. It also scored first place out of 21 placements in the small luxury car segment. The news site compiled a list of comments from other prominent review sites:
- USA Today described the steering as “sharp and responsive.” It also described the acceleration as being in the “big leagues.”
- When testing the vehicle in the race track, an editor from CNET described the Kia Stinger as having “good power out of the corners” and that it had “friendly handling dynamics.”
- When driven on city roads, an editor from Autoblog said the vehicle “drives smaller than its exterior proportions might suggest.”
U.S News made some comments of their own. For starters, it used words like “grippy” and “composed” to describe the handling and braking. It also made note of the vehicle’s five drive modes, which include Smart, Custom, Comfort, Sport, and Eco. All-wheel drive is also an available option in every trim level. Two engine options are offered, including a four-cylinder and a V6.
