Visiting a car dealership can be an anxious moment for some, especially for first-time car buyers. However, our Kia dealers work with customers from all walks of life, from savvy negotiators to college students making a solo visit without their parents. No matter where you fall, the following advice may ease your mind before heading through the doors of our Avenel, NJ Kia dealership.

First, have a planned outcome in mind. Are you already planning on buying, or are you just looking? Do you have a particular model in mind? How confident do you feel about a test drive?

Next, think about your financial options. Do you have an idea of your existing credit score? Are you leaning toward a purchase or loan? Loan and payment options may differ greatly depending on whether you buy or lease. Consider using the dealership’s online payment estimator. This helps you determine your monthly budget, interest rates, tax percentage, trade-in value, etc before you step foot on the lot.

Speaking of trading in, if you plan to go this route, determine your old car’s fair value beforehand. You can look up its estimate through our online tool. Keep in mind that the final price will be determined at our dealership.

Finally, don’t think that you have to get everything done within a single visit. If you feel like you need to think things over or go over some number crunching back home, then do so! Our dealership isn’t going anywhere.

Our vehicle incentives near Edison, NJ provide limited-time offers that you can research ahead of time before your visit to Sansone Kia. Models like the 2019 Kia Sorento and Kia Optima near Union, NJ are just a couple examples of what you can find at our new and used car dealership. Visit us today!

The 2018 Kia Rio has recently earned a huge accolade with the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety: a Top Safety Pick+, which is the highest rating possible. The distinction in general is a huge accomplishment, and our Kia dealership are ecstatic to present this award-winning car. The award is even all the more prestigious considering the Kia Rio is a subcompact sedan, a vehicle segment that rarely ever earns the highest rating from IIHS.

No other 2018 compact sedan has earned the Top Safety Pick+, though two other models in the category earned the second highest rating, the Top Safety Pick. We should note, though, that the Top Safety Pick+ only applies to the Kia Rio when equipped with its optional LED projector headlights and not the standard halogen lights.

The Kia Rio scored “good” in all but one crash test category. In addition, its crash prevention system scored a “superior” in 12-mph and 25-mph tests where the sedan successfully avoided a collision at these speeds.

The award dispels the prevailing belief that compact cars are less safe. While this notion may have been true two decades ago, modern models such as this new small Kia car have new avoidance technology and stronger crumple zones that give owners a peace of mind when commuting alongside larger SUVs and pickups.

On a side note, the 2018 Kia Soul also made the list of safest compact cars by U.S News & World Report. Likewise, the 2018 Kia Forte made the list of safest compact cars in a report from Cheat Sheet.

Come by Sansone Kia to see these compelling Kia models near Union, NJ, including the award-winning Kia Rio. This compact sedan is a great beginner-friendly vehicle that is easy to handle and now proven safe. We can’t wait to show it off to you!

The 2018 Kia Stinger is a fastback that needs no introduction. Never heard of a fastback? It’s pretty much a sedan but with a specific design feature where the rear windows and trunk meld together in a single slope. The Kia Stinger is an excellent example of a fastback that is noteworthy for its smooth handling in the vehicle segment.

In a performance review from U.S. News, editors gave the 2018 Kia Stinger a nine out of 10 score. It also scored first place out of 21 placements in the small luxury car segment. The news site compiled a list of comments from other prominent review sites:

  • USA Today described the steering as “sharp and responsive.” It also described the acceleration as being in the “big leagues.”
  • When testing the vehicle in the race track, an editor from CNET described the Kia Stinger as having “good power out of the corners” and that it had “friendly handling dynamics.”
  • When driven on city roads, an editor from Autoblog said the vehicle “drives smaller than its exterior proportions might suggest.”

U.S News made some comments of their own. For starters, it used words like “grippy” and “composed” to describe the handling and braking. It also made note of the vehicle’s five drive modes, which include Smart, Custom, Comfort, Sport, and Eco. All-wheel drive is also an available option in every trim level. Two engine options are offered, including a four-cylinder and a V6.

The Kia Niro EV has been the subject of auto publications for some time now. The latest rounds of testing yielded very impressive numbers. They show a total of 301 miles of range on electric alone. If this figure is accurate, this may potentially be the most powerful electric vehicle to date.

Testers used the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP) to yield the 301-mile total range. That’s not all; they also discovered that the total distance increases to 382 miles if operated in an “urban-only” zone.

The Kia Niro EV utilizes a 64-kilowatt-hour battery, which can be charged to 80 percent of its capacity in just 54 minutes if using a 1-kilowatt fast charger. That comes down to 4.46 miles for every 60 seconds of charge time.

How do these figures compare with other electric vehicles? For starters, a competing brand’s electric vehicle has a range of just 249 miles despite having a larger 95 kWh battery.

We can’t say for certain, though, that the Kia Niro is definitively the most powerful electric vehicle. The WLTP method is a different testing modality compared to the methods used by the Environmental Protection Agency and other car brands. These different procedures result in different output and figures.

The Kia Niro EV is slated to arrive in the United States later this year. With an estimated 201 horsepower and 291 lb-ft of torque, along with its efficient powertrain, you don’t want to miss this new Kia model.

In the meantime, visit us today to check out the 2018 Kia Niro near Woodbridge, NJ here at Sansone Kia. We are located at 90-100 US Hwy 1 North in Avenel, NJ. To learn more about the upcoming Kia Niro EV, give us a call at 866-795-7251.

Do you own a Kia car or SUV? We suggest bringing it to our service center for regular maintenance. People often say summer is the ideal time for an annual inspection due to the heat implications on the engine. However, fall is also a good time for maintenance as you want to prep it for the coming winter.

We recommend frequently checking back at our service specials near Union, NJ. Our service center is called Sansone at Your Service and provides printable coupons for a number of maintenance tasks, ranging from a basic motor oil change to tire rotation and alignment. Just print out the coupon and present it at the time of service.

Sansone at Your Service also performs free recall checks. We should note that the center also services non-Kia vehicles.

Why choose our Kia service center? We realize there are plenty of independent shops in and around Avenel, NJ. However, there are advantages of bringing your vehicle to the dealership’s internal service department.

Keep in mind that the Kia brand is a Korean automaker. Components from the engine to transmission may not be identical to an American or a common foreign brand. A general mechanic may not have the know-how to diagnose a Korean-made model. Contrary to popular belief, mechanics can’t just hook the car to a computer to diagnose the problem. Diagnosing specific brands and models require hands-on knowledge, which our certified Kia technicians have plenty of.

While awaiting maintenance, we suggest you hop on over to our model showroom to check out the 2018 and 2019 inventory. Models like the 2018 Kia Stinger is quite trendy. Earlier in the year, the sedan won MotorWeek’s 2018 Driver’s Choice Award in the sport sedan category! No matter what your auto needs may be, they will all be accommodated here at your local NJ Kia dealership in Avenel.

The Kia brand has more accolades to add. The U.S. News & World Report listed the 2018 Kia Sorento as the best six-passenger vehicle; the organization formally awarded the SUV the coveted title of Best Three-Row SUV for the Money.

According to U.S. News writer Steven Loveday, the Kia Sorento earned the honors due to its reliability, longevity, stylish interior, and safety score. The SUV is also available in seven trim levels, giving consumers more than enough buying options.

It’s not just U.S. News that gave the Kia Sorento praiseworthy reviews. The automotive site Drive South gave a similar review, giving the new Kia SUV a perfect five out of five rating in the safety department.

Likewise, Consumer Reports also evaluated the 2018 Kia Sorento and gave the SUV props for its ease of handling and intuitive infotainment system. Reviewers also praised its 5,000-lb tow capacity.

That’s not all. The 2018 Kia Sedona received mention of its own from panelists. Judges for U.S. News cited factors like affordability, high safety score, and high-end quality when discussing the minivan. They also specifically praised the V6 engine, which delivers 276 hp, thanks in part to the Sportmatic system that makes shifting far more effortless. This makes the Kia Sedona the epitome of a family vehicle, which is fitting considering school is back in session.

Many car owners treat the terms “service center” and “collision center” interchangeably. While service centers may offer collision remedies and vice versa, the two services are not identical.

Let’s start with a service center, which we at Sansone Kia are proud to offer to our customers. Service centers typically offer general maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, shock and strut inspections, and more. This may also extend to more extensive solutions to a limited degree, such as engine and transmission rebuild. If your car manual specifies a filter, oil, or transmission fluid change every X miles, a service center is where you would go.

To supplement our NJ Kia service center, we also supply a fully stocked parts department. From new tires and windshield wipers to batteries and brakes, we’re sure to have just what you need.

A collision center is pretty self-explanatory; it’s where you bring your vehicle after you’d been in an accident. A crew member will assess the damage and determine what work needs to be done to restore your vehicle back to its original state. Collision centers also specialize in touch-ups at the aesthetic level, such as paint restoration and dent repair.

In more severe collisions, an inspector will decide if the car is salvageable or if it’s a total loss. If the latter, your insurance provider will write you a check according to the car’s worth determined by Kelley Blue Book.

If you drive a Kia Optima or Kia Sorento and are looking for a reliable place for routine maintenance, visit our Kia service center near Staten Island, NY. Our NJ Kia dealers look forward to helping you soon with all your auto needs!
