This is model that has generated a great deal of excitement since it was announced, and this early 2024 Kia Sorento review is an opportunity to answer some of the questions that we’ve been getting. One of the most exciting aspects of this early 2024 Kia Sorento review is the redesigned exterior. The most prominent changes are the new grille and new lighting designs. There are also new exterior color options, wheel designs and many other customizations. Dimensions remain the same. This is a compact four-door SUV with a 110.8-inch wheelbase, a 6.9-inch minimum ground clearance and a 189.4-inch overall length, which is approximately 15.8 inches. Aluminum wheels and LED headlamps are standard. The LX has 17-inch wheels. The S adds 18-inch wheels and roof rails. The EX adds a hands-free liftgate. The SX adds 20-inch wheels. The X-Line, SX Prestige and X-Pro all have special X styling.

Interior - 2024 Kia Sorento near Staten Island NY
The 2024 Kia Sorento is a three-row vehicle that is available in either a seven- or six-passenger configuration. The second-row bench seat is standard, and the second-row captain’s chairs become standard with the EX and up. Base equipment includes premium cloth upholstery, air conditioning, a six-speaker sound system, the new digital instrument panel and the new infotainment touch screen. The up-level S adds dual-zone automatic climate control, synthetic leather seating, heated front seats, a power-adjustable driver’s seat and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The SX adds a panoramic sunroof, and the SX Prestige adds genuine leather seating, cooled front seats and 12-speaker Bose audio.

Kia Sorento Mechanical specs
Our Kia dealership serving Staten Island Woodbridge Elizabeth Edison includes keyless entry, keyless start and remote start beyond the base trim. Trailering equipment is available. It allows most Sportage models to tow up to 2,500 pounds, which is impressive for the segment, but if you want more, you can get it with the X-Pro. The max tow rating for the X-Pro has not been officially announced, but 4,000 pounds is expected.

Powertrain - Kia Dealership near Staten Island NY
Front-wheel drive is standard with the 2024 Kia Sorento through Sansone Kia. All-wheel drive is optional and included with the X-Line and X-Pro. The base powertrain pairs an eight-speed automatic transmission with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine: 191 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque. With the EX and up, the powertrain is upgraded to an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic with a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder: 281 hp and 311 lb.-ft.

Standard equipment for the new Sorento includes a 12.3-inch touch screen with wireless Android and Apple integration, a rearview camera, front collision warning with automatic braking, rear automatic braking, lane departure warning with steering assist, blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic warning. Rear parking sensors and integrated navigation are standard with the S and up. The EX adds adaptive cruise control with lane centering and enhanced front automatic braking. The SX Prestige adds a blind-spot camera and a surround-view camera.
